Admission Overview

Admission for Foreign Students or Overseas Chinese students 

There are two Graduate Programs for Overseas students, just one for English-Taught.
Applicants must note the program Introduction. 
(1)The Master of Architecture in Sustainable and Digital Innovation (MASDI) is an international program offering advanced professional courses mainly in English. 

(2) The Master of Arch. in Urban Design and Environmental Studies (MAUDES) focuses on historical, theoretical, and reflexive researches, as well as community-participatory architectural and urban designs. Most of the courses in this program are taught in Chinese. Applicants should evaluate their capability of Chinese conversation, reading, and writing.

MASDI (English-Taught)

Program Introduction............................

The Master of Architecture in Sustainable and Digital Innovation (MASDI) is an international program offering advanced professional courses mainly in English. The curricular objective is to cultivate forward-looking and creative future design professionals and cross-disciplinary design talents, focusing on the cutting-edge research of architectural biomimicry, circular economy, recycled materials, and digital fabrication. One academic year of contemporary architectural theory combined with intensive courses of design and workshops, with humanistic thinking as the foundation of innovation. Through cross-disciplinary sustainable research and collaboration, this research-based design program intends to explore architectural evolution by design intelligence, natural inspiration, and material process. Length of study normally takes 1-2 years.

Applicant qualifications：Applicants hold a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Interior Design, or other related design programs will be considered with higher priority. Graduates with other degrees are also encouraged to apply if you can demonstrate your design and research potentials.

7.The key points of the students are eligible to apply the Degree Examination are summarized as follows:
(1.)All courses and credits required for the M.A. degree;

(2.) 6 hours of academic ethics courses;
Study all the core course through the website of Center for Taiwan Academic Research Ethics Education (AREE)and obtain the proof course certificate.
The password of the AREE website will be sent by email from the office of Architecture Department.

(3.) Finish at least two the international design competition or workshop on cross-disciplinary design, architectural design or urban design, signed and approved by your advisor to apply the Degree Examination.

(4.) Comparison of Originality of Thesis (including works in lieu of the thesis, proof of achievement together with written reports, technical reports, or professional practice reports), similarity comparison less than 20%.

MAUDES(Chinese-Taught)

Applicants hold a Bachelor’s Degree obtained from a certified college/university.
