磚屋再生 – 從拼接變融合/Brick House Reborn：From Montage to Mergence
在1960年代，磚構造為當代住宅主要建造材料。時至今日，這些傳統磚造平房大多隨著都市計劃而被拆除，而少部分未被拆除的也多伴隨著被損壞、雜物堆積、植物進駐等情況，修復也是以便宜的鋼構鐵皮系統縫補，原本傳統磚造房屋的樣貌已不存在。設計先以還原傳統磚造街屋層層牆面之系統，觀察磚構造及與不同異物的拼接方式和細節，試想多種建築策略讓人經歷新舊，試圖在保留原傳統磚造房屋韻味的同時，空間與新舊系統對話，延續住宅機能。
In 1960s,brick structure became the major material in architecture. In nowadays, these traditional bungalows are mostly removed as a result of urban renewal. Only a little of them exempted from being removed, while most of which are forgotten because of passing away of the hosts. These house are mostly destroyed, accumulated with junks or occupied by flora. Even though someone renovated them, who mended with inexpensive sheet iron system, the original appearance of brick house was no longer existed.Therefore, restoration of traditional appearance of brick house and street house was my design’s major purpose. I observed the specialty of brick and the way of montage between different materials. With plenty of architectural strategies, people could experience modern and tradition. Moreover, inserting the dwelling mass in the modern and ancient walls could keep the rhyme of traditional house and make conversation with original system. By experience the modern and traditional spaces, lasting its dwelling function.
