應對氣候變遷下台中港的生態網絡重構與元素設計 — 仿生碳循環機制與未來港灣建築 Reconstructing Ecological Network and Design Element of the Taichung Port to Cop

Looking at the bay, the view was blocked by the gray fog. The signifying axis of historical bay references and elements had gradually disappeared and eradicated by developments. The thematic design research, first examine issues of current Taichung Port from defining elements of the Anthropocene. With the excessive development overpowering and in non-reciprocal relation to earth’s resources. As a result, the ecosystem of the region when further destroyed to reach state of the carbon sink capacity lost, whereby the stored carbon will be released. By referencing to biomimicry and techniques to observe how organism function in nature as design guidelines, and mechanisms that can be used to emulate the carbon cycle in order to mitigate the problem. It is proposed that a future urban design for creating a scheme that is within 15-minute life as a catalyst for change. Regenerative designing the harbor can bring a new economy through carbon cycle development to achieve conditions conducive for nature-human coexistence in the future.
