Space In Between
The site is located at Taichung’s 7th Redevelopment Zone of luxury house and we need to design an individual housing with mixed commercial spaces.
In this project , the building lot is not only long but narrow with a surface width of 8.31 meters and a depth of 35 meters. According to my concept, I attempt to build a vertical tower and horizontal staff rooms as the center, and try to redefine studio and living space.
The space in between plays an important role in between the working spaces and the residential area, which include private working spaces, meeting room and study room. In addition, the curvature elements articulate the importance of transitional spaces in between as well as the role of different programmes.
