From understanding "Yang San-lang in Yonghe" to reading "Urban Texture," the alleys of Yonghe serve as both places for lingering and convenient passageways. Yonghe's alleys can be lively or quiet, hosting both wanderers and transient residents. The alleys of Yonghe exhibit a unique duality:
1. The exchange between alleys and tangible/intangible elements creates two distinct spatial forms that correspond to the texture and landscape of Yonghe.2. The functional differences result in the flow of two distinct groups within these two spaces, generating intergenerational collisions.3. Both aspects demonstrate complementarity and duality, such as the user experience of the tangible/intangible, their distribution, and mutual complementation.
4. The height difference and architectural vocabulary between the two architectural entities complement and respond to the urban structure and landscape of Yonghe.
