Space Refactoring

Taiwan's large amount of idle space has been one of the city's problems that cannot be effectively solved for many years. In this design, the transformation of idle space in the city is handled by establishing an automated platform.By the universal utilization of this platform, a large number of idle space will gradually form a new network in the city, these previously excluded space by the urban system will be transformed into a flexible system to help the urban system adapt to changes in social needs, and even become a new base for urban activities.

In response to the trend of automation technology/space sharing and the new land use model, this platform provides users with time-based booking space use in different bases, The space per unit area achieves maximum efficiency by matching different space usage demand. In such a way of space useing, the overall space to the time period according to the user's needs constantly changing, and by the most basic scale of the spatial composition of the furniture unit to generate space, furniture units will be deformed and reorganized over time and use demand.

Then this platform is applied to the idle market in Taichung. Residential and shared space as the main function. The remodeling strategy is to place the dynamic line and platform subsidiary function space under the framework of the original building structure in order to meet the demand of space change efficiency.
