THE NEW GUSHAN TERMINAL: Order Surfactant: Speeds, Seashore, Community & Foreigner
The thesis consists of four paragraphs (decorative essence, modified design of the presidential palace damaged in World War II (preservation of the scars of the bombed building), facade, clothes, or the meaning of existence, The Invisible City (Italo Calvino)). Finally use your own Parti to build your own design on the base.As the earliest pioneering place in Kaohsiung, Hamasing Kaohsiung has witnessed the transformation of Kaohsiung from being an industrial seaport into a livable city, and it has left behind many traditions of order that operated in different periods.Disorderly buildings, also known as mosquito houses, are built in the absence of reasonable buildings or the original function of the site, which leads to the loss of operational order and turns into a wall of memory carriers. Once the largest fish market in East Asia, and the Gushan Fishing Market(鼓山魚市) is one of them.In my design, I chose to retain the architectural context and vernacular public memory of the traditional fishing market, deconstruct the architectural form to amalgamate the new and old order, and create a new architectural space that belongs to local community residents, tourists and Kaohsiung City.
