Rewrite ONE
Cities continue to expand. In the normal state of urban renewal, people often abandon the original elegance of the old city and open up new districts for large-scale town reconstruction. The forgotten old city, the texture of history, and cultural society is gradually abandoned. Dali, formerly known as Tāi-lí-khi̍t, was the first area where Taichung crowds began to gather. Nowadays, high-rise buildings in the new districts of the town have been built, but the old city has been forgotten. Design: A regional reconstruction plan based on the community organizes the post-earthquake ruins and illegal buildings into blank spaces in the city, redefines and simulates social relations with five elements, and transforms the public of daily life by noting the street scale of residents’ living space, pouring vitality into the desolate old city.
