In this study, from the perspective of Anthropocene, we explore the relationship between human beings and nature. Human technological progress brought about by industrial development is destroying the earth system, gradually pushing our living environment to the brink of danger.

This study focuses on the current system around Little Ryukyu, and analyzed the impact of ocean warming and acidification and the opportunities to improve the current situation. Using Biomimicry methods, a structure capable of recovering heat energy, extracted from Cuvier’s Beaked Whale, is transformed into a new type of ferry, which can cool the ocean surface. The structure of the Venus’ Flower Basket is transformed into a new type of harbor dike which maintains the space for ecology. Helicobacter Pylori's action to generate ammonia became the inspiration, enabling Dafu Port not only to improve the use of water resources but also to alleviate the problem of ocean acidification in Little Ryukyu.

These designs were integrated using urban design and were able to interact with the residents. The green belt is extended to the surroundings to ensure that the space is accessible for all. The dike extends into the sea, restoring the original coastal shape, so residents can easily contact the water. Little Ryukyu can improve the impact of ocean warming and acidification by integrating the Innovative Ferry Transportation System while creating a high-quality ecological environment for all. Marine Ecological Dike reconnects the relationship between people and the ocean and gives Little Ryukyu a unique way of vacationing, and further provides marine activities in the Anthropocene and future design imagination for sustainable development.
